As a church in Leander TX, Journey Bible Fellowship has a number of options to serve that may interest you!

 

There are a variety of roles needed to serve in our Children and Student Ministries – being with the kids of different ages in their activities.

Opportunities to Serve

 

 

Role Team Leader Description
Journey Kids Children’s Ministry Volunteer Lindsay Albertin Nursery: Assist caregivers in lovingly interacting and sharing Jesus with infants and toddlers.
Pre-School: Work in a team to teach children ages 3-5 through video skits, songs, games, crafts and activities.
Elementary/Preteen: Work in a team to teach children (grades Kinder-3rd and 4th-5th) through video skits, songs, games, crafts and activities.
Journey Kids Check-In Team Lindsay Albertin Description: Journey Kids Ministry Greeters are located at our check in station on Sunday Mornings. They greet families (guests and members) as they arrive and check them into our system. If you enjoy meeting people and smiling, this is the job for you!
Journey Kids Clean-up Crew Lindsay Albertin Description: Assist the Director in picking up and putting away toys from rooms, check rooms and bathrooms for cleanliness, empty trash in each room.
Childcare Coordinator Lindsay Albertin Description: The coordinator is able to serve every Sunday morning, ideally during both services. They schedule other paid childcare workers for Sunday mornings, and during the week on Wednesday and Thursday nights for small groups. This position is paid and works roughly 8-9 hours of actual childcare work each week, plus any additional time needed to handle scheduling.
Refresh Student Shepherd (6th-12th graders) Paul Nichols Volunteer: REFRESH meets on Wednesday Nights from 6:30-8:00 pm in the foyer. Assist the Student Pastor in programming, playing games with teens, leading small groups and building relationships with teens.  There is also a need of another female small group leader to help disciple students. You will hang out with students, build relationships, and help facilitate deeper, faith-based conversations each Wednesday Night after the message using provided materials.
