There are a variety of roles needed to serve our community – many involve helping children and parents in nearby neighborhoods.

Opportunities to Serve
|Crisis Care Team||Mike & Teresa Tangorra||Care for one another and our neighbors through short term help like meal trains, rides, lawn care, maintenance, hospital visits, service projects, prayer, and more.|
|Meal Train||Lindsay Albertin||Sign up to be a part of our meal train team! You will receive occasional emails for a family or member in need and we will bless them with a meal. All pertinent information regarding location, number of people, food allergies, etc. will be provided. You are not required to provide for every request.|
|Foster Parent Night Out Volunteer||Lonnie & Cindy Wendling||Give Foster Parents a night off by organizing activities and playing with their children (babies through high school) for the evening here at The Journey|
|Care Circles||Hillarie Elizondo||Care Circles are teams of 4 individuals or families that commit to walking with a foster family. They pray for and support the foster family as they are able.|
|Foster Respite Care||Andrea Reedy||ReedyCare for Foster Children at your home while Foster Parents are away. Background check, training and observation required.|
|Kids Outdoor Zone Group Leader||Jason Smith/ Sam Davis||Lead and mentor boys 8-18 years old.|
|Journey Women Events||Michelle Romig||Work with other Journey Women leaders to prepare, set up, serve, and clean up at Journey Women events.|
|Small Group Leader/Host||John Peterson||Interested in leading a small group? Hosting a small group in your home? Help lead a group to study biblical topics and grow closer in relationships.|
|Reading Volunteer||Amy Renfroe||Help elementary students be able to read by the 3rd grade to impact their graduation rates.|
|Christmas Box Volunteer||Sandra Swanson||Team members help assemble Chrsitmas Food Boxes for LISD children and their families who need food over the winter holidays.|
|Angel Tree Volunteer||Lindsay Albertin||
Help us bless the children in our area each Christmas! We are currently partnering with Prison Fellowship to provide gifts on behalf of an incarcerated family member. This event helps us bring new people to our church to receive their gifts, and all children receive an age-appropriate Bible. Volunteers will be needed to help call caregivers for gift ideas, oversee gift signup, organize the gift pickup event at the church, and deliver any remaining gifts.
|Events Team||Lindsay Albertin||We love planning events at The Journey! Whether it’s our quarterly family meeting, making the most of the holidays, or creating our own fun. We are buliding a brand new events team. Duties may include, but are not limited to, helping decorate or setting up rooms, assisting with any child events, coordinating games, organizing food during potlucks, and more.|
|Campus/ Building Team||Dale Richardson||Provide team with overall leadership to facilitate being good stewards of the assets on campus, including the community center, that God has provided our church. Hold monthly meetings to address day to day operations as it pertains to campus and building projects that the Board has approved and work with the Board and staff on upcoming projects needed. Provide spiritual motivation for both men and women who serve on this team.|
|Social Media Photography||Lindsay Albertin||Have an interest in photography and some of your own equipment? We are looking for a few volunteers to be on standby to help us take pictures for our events that will enhance our website and social media pages. You may be asked to help for random Sundays and/or events such as Easter, Christmas, baptisms, child dedications, parties, etc.|
