Journey Students

Journey Students is our ministry to students 6th-12th grades

Wednesdays 6:30-8:00 pm

When do Teens meet?

Journey Students meet on Wednesday Nights throughout the school year from 6:30-8:00 pm. Our weekly gathering is called REFRESH and it is open to all students 6th-12th grade.

What is REFRESH like?

REFRESH is a time designed from the ground up to help students connect and be discipled. Each week we will spend half an hour having fun, half an hour in our big group Bible lesson, and half an hour in separate small groups for guys and girls. Guests are always welcomed and our students are encouraged to bring their friends.

What about Sunday mornings?

Middle School and High School students are encouraged to attend Sunday morning Worship Services with their families. The data shows that when students are a part of the church service through these formative years instead of in a student-specific environment they are more likely to stay plugged into church in their young adult years.

Can students serve at the Journey?

YES! We encourage all of our students to SERVE. We have students serving in almost all of our area ministries. Students can learn more about serving HERE.

Are there any events for students?

Yep! On top of our regular REFRESH gatherings Journey Students have student-specific events throughout the year. A few of our regular events include our annual Summer Kick-Off Party, Summer Camp at Highland Lakes, Back-to-School Party, and Student Christmas Party to name a few. We also have the occasional service project in the community.
You can access the church calendar HERE.

What curriculum do you use?

We primarily use The Gospel Project for Students by Lifeway. We occasionally use curriculum written in-house as the need arises. Our Children’s ministry uses The Gospel Project for Kids. This means the lesson content we cover in Journey Students is the same lesson content our kids are learning the following Sunday.
