Major Parking Lot Construction in February-March: We will be doing some major improvements on our parking lot over the next couple of months. Most of this work will occur Monday through Friday, but some could extend into Saturday/Sunday. Watch for cones and roped off areas where work is in progress–they need to be avoided. Look forward to a much smoother parking experience when all the work is completed!
LifeChangers Ministry Fair: Thank you to everyone who signed up and those who continue to serve! In case you missed our ministry fair, all available serving opportunities can be found at journeybf.com under LifeChangers.
Hill Country Community Ministries Serving Opportunity: We recently heard from executive director Tiesa Hollaway that they have 2 opportunities to serve that will be high impact.
- A food truck delivers food on the 1st Monday of every month. Five volunteers able to lift 50 lbs (or more) from 7-8:am the 1st Monday of each month would enable the food to be unloaded from the truck. This is a once-a-month commitment.
- Four to five volunteers to staff the HCCM Thrift Store on Friday or Saturday afternoons would keep operations going where clothes, shoes, coats, blankets, housewares, linens, furniture… and MORE are given away for FREE to those in need. This would be a weekly commitment.
Kids Outdoor Zone (KOZ) March 21st: All boys ages 8-18 are invited to come to KOZ every 3rd Saturday of the month from 9am – 2pm for fun outdoor activities and spiritual mentoring. Lunch will be served. If you have questions, please contact Ken at email@example.com.
Foster Parent Night Out – March 27 – 6 – 9:30 pm: FPNO is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on foster families in our community. No training is required, just a desire to invest in children. Teens are encouraged to help too. Volunteers plan to serve from 6 – 9:30 pm. Please contact Heather Gill at 806-681-4952 for more information.
Child Dedication – March 29 – This is an opportunity for parents to commit publicly to raising their child in a home that is committed to serve Jesus, and to be supported by the families of The Journey. If your family is interested in being a part of this special day, contact Susan at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up or visit the Welcome Center.
